Stayed for one night. With two pubs and a carvery nearby, we were spoiled for choice regarding food. The pub we ended up visiting was great, as was the breakfast prepared by our hosts. The village itself is nice and peaceful and has some nice little walks where you can admire the countryside. Will definitely recommend this to others! Read less

Lovely clean room. Comfy bed. Very friendly and helpful welcome. Enjoyed the start to the day with breakfast brought to our room.
Would recommend to family and friends and would stay again.

Staying overnight with my wife I found this B and B , on arrival we were met by a member of staff who was extremely friendly and helpful. The room was small but cosy and clean with lovely beams being a constant feature. The bathroom was clean and provided many toiletries free of charge. Located right next door is a pub which provides a few meals at reasonable prices and a large selection of alcohol in a very friendly setting warmed by a fire making it fell like a country pub indeed. Had specifically booked this accommodation because of the adjoining pub. Was therefore very disappointed to arrive & find that the pub was shut. Because of this had to have breakfast in our room. Absolute nightmare trying to find somewhere to eat locally on the Saturday night. Transpired there was a large music event just up the road. Had we known we could have booked somewhere in advance on the Friday evening. Read less

Lack of communication - should have been told in advance of pub closure & it would have been helpful to suggest we booked for a meal on Saturday.

Hi Beverley we ask all guests at the time of booking if they require dinner, had you done so in advance i would have been in touch with you to let you know the pub was closed for refurbishment, as you had not booked a table in advance you would have had a problem trying to find somwhere to eat last minute on a Saturday night even if the pub had been open most establishments are pre booked tables on Saturdays
Attwoods pub on site will be back open by the 15th October

The room, although small, was really nice and had everything that a guest could possibly want.

Dislikes:

The three things that spoilt our stay were; place deserted when we arrived. Mrs Bant very unsociable. Food was bland and mediocre but overpriced.

Thank you for your kind comments on your room,we had no intention of leaving you hanging around, had you left a message on the phone number supplied we could have instantly informed you that your key had been left in the door instead you decided to charge through a gate marked private, bang on the door and disturb an elderly person
You perused the menu in your room if it had been overprices why did you decide to eat with us when asked if everthing was ok with your meal you failed to comment
