If you had let us know the night before that you were in a hurry
we would have asked you to pre-order......sorry you never mentioned anything to us

I don't think it's the best hotel for business travellers. It's a nice place with nice food but I didn't feel altogether comfortable. The rooms in the pub are nice rooms, but you could hear what was going on downstairs really clearly (even down to the topic of conversation!) which didn't cause a disturbance but made me feel rather uncomfortable. Read less

Thank you for your kind comments..................had you requested to arrive earlier we would have made sure that our son or daughter were here, as we are a small family business we have to try and get in all our dentist, optician etc appointments during the Winter afternoons because once we get into all day opening from Easter onwards we are here all day every day

Sorry Susan.....we did offer a set menu with 4 choices each course to keep the price to a reasonable 19.99 for 3 courses
2 MEAT...I FISH...I VEGETARIAN
both the fish dish and vegetarian were completely dairy free

Large choice of cooked breakfast was delightful, wish I'd gone for the smoked haddock! Very comfy bed, might be too hard for some though. Bed felt damp at first but may just have been because room was cold but enjoyed old fashioned sheets and blankets, made a change for bed clothes to stay on the bed! Read less

Felt a bit claustrophobic in room due to its size and sloping roof

Frist time that anyone has suggested that the beds may be to hard, glad that you found it comfy and enjoyed your stay
as these rooms are 16th century listed building conversions we were unable through regulations to alter the sizes

No mobile phone signal, so unable to make calls send emails or text messages. All guests had the same problem.

lots of guests use the free Wi Fi to get in touch with family and friends it is available all over
