Enjoyable from the time we arrived, we were suitably fed by their excellent chef at dinner, we were more than adequately filled at breakfast for the two mornings of our stay, we were entertained by our host's friendly locals in the evening, so, all in all, we had a thoroughly good time having been to Worcester and Stratford in between. Hi Mike thank you for your comments it is not cost effective especially during January to keep the bar open for one person you were welcome to have taken drinks back to your room ,
we have been here for 26 years and if anyone else had been likely to call in we would have stayed open
we do not use duvets customer comments always tend to be in favour of freshy washed and pressed sheets

Evening meal was wonderful; all food was presented beautifully, best Steak we have had in a long time which was accompanied with great wine. Slept like a log, and woke to a beautiful sun rise then went down to a good sized full English breakfast in the Conservatory. Read less

All as said from above. Plus it had a lovely real fire by the bar/dinning area this was lit and made it very homely. Old style interior in great shape, none of this modern stuff that spoils the look.

We had pre-paid for dinner. It was good. Breakfast was also good.
The host was most hospitable.
Dislikes:
Room was cold until the heating came on (about 9pm).

Over-emphasis on the convenience of kitchen staff in relation to meal times.

We do not have Kitchen staff it is the owner Sue.. which is me doing the cooking
To keep our menu and room rates competative and be as green as we can we like to keep our energy costs low
i do not see the point in burning away gas and electricity for hours in the kitchen and try to keep our bookings for tables as close together as possible
with reference to the heating October was very warm and the timing for heating was adjusted accordingly
